Bio
My name is Bobby. I grew up in Southern Illinois (yes, we capitalize it), about 55 miles southeast of St. Louis, MO. I've lived in the countryside for most of my life.

I had a strange childhood, but then again, is there really a normal one? I was raised almost single-handedly by my mom, while my dad worked and went to college full-time. I spent lots of time with my maternal grandparents as well, who lived in an even smaller town than the one I grew up by. It was the sort of place where you could only get two channels on the rabbit ears.

Growing up I always had eccentric interests, such as maps, geography, history and ghosts. While other kids were drawing hearts with arrows through them, I was drawing Kazakhstan and writing fan letters to the President of Nauru.

Nowadays, I'm an underemployed educator waiting for the "big break." If you can provide it, don't hesitate to talk to me ;)

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in the humanities (magna cum laude) from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, with emphases in history, political science, and psychology.

I also hold a Master of Arts degree from the University of Windsor.

This journal is semi-friends only. I'm pretty fickle about which entries are friends-only and which are not. I like to meet new people, so feel free to add me. I'm not an elitist who insists on reading your journal for weeks/months before I decide that I may add you back, so fear not.
